Future Women Leaders is excited to announce the new Leadership Development Program for the 2011-2012 year!

Businesses recognize that multi-faceted leaders are important to their success, which has made leadership development programs a hot topic in recent years. While majority of leadership development programs have been successful in increasing individuals’ leadership potential, they are usually very expensive and may even require that you have a certain amount of experience.  The leadership development program offered by Future Women Leaders has affordable core courses and events to increase your leadership potential in both their professional and personal life. No matter what level you are within your career, our program is designed to equip you with the necessary tools and techniques that can be applied to any leadership function.

What is a leadership development program?

A leadership development program consists of a series of workshops, each designed to enable individuals to develop the self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and personal influence that provide a foundation for effective leadership.  While programs may vary, leadership development programs typically focus on common leadership techniques such as: learning to lead yourself (assessing your own leadership capabilities), coaching and developing others, resolving conflicts, communicating and using feedback effectively, adapting to change, learning to manage upward, and goal setting.

Who is right for the program?

Anyone wishing to increase their leadership potential is welcome to inquire about the program.

What courses does the program offer?

Our leadership development will contain six core events. The events and pricing are listed below.

1.       Learning to Lead Yourself (Discover who you are as a leader)

2.       Leading Others 101 (Topics to include: Creating a vision, establishing credibility, tolerating ambiguity, and  emotional intelligence)

3.       Leading Others 102 (Topics to include: Coaching and developing others, communications, and conflict resolution)

4.       Leading and Embrace Change

5.       Goal Setting and Work-Life Balance as a Leader

6.       Women's Leadership Question and Answer (Ask a Leader!)

**Please visit the website for more information regarding dates and times.

What is the cost?

At this time, the event will be open for pre-registration and will follow our FWL event pricing structure, which is $10 for members and $25 for non-members per event. Therefore, the cost of the entire program would be $60 for members and $150 for non-members.

Do I have to sign up for the entire program or can I sign up for events separately?

Future Women Leaders recognizes that you may be interested in taking certain courses based on needs and affordability. Therefore, we will allow you to sign up for particular courses should there be open spots. However, in traditional leadership development programs, individuals find it most beneficial when they can attend all courses since they often build on one another from one session to the next. Since the classes have a limited number of spots, the program will first accept those participants who wish to complete the full number of courses.  Those completing all six courses will receive a certificate of completion from FWL.

How do I sign up?

Visit the Registration tab under LDP.
